Wildwood Lakefront Cottages is a new lakefront vacation home community on a former campground situated on the south side of Lake Whatcom, midway between Bellingham and Sedro Woolley. It is located 12 miles southeast of Bellingham WA, about 35 miles south of British Columbia’s Lower Mainland and 90 miles north of Seattle WA. This family friendly, secure community is one of the best sites on Lake Whatcom, and features 1,800 linear feet of prime, low-bank lake frontage with a high-quality beach. The size totals 14 acres with 90 for-sale detached cabin and cottage units.

Are there any limitations to use?

Because of Whatcom County land use regulations the maximum number of days you can use or rent your Cottage is 180 days annually. The overall design and the resort infrastructure are based on recreational use.

What are the Cottage specifications?

Cottage size and design is regulated by Whatcom County land use regulations. Cottages must be defined as a Park Model design, 399 square feet or smaller, and allow for up to 240 square feet of covered decks. Roof decks and additional exterior spaces are allowed.

Can I buy a Cottage lot and build my own Cottage?

Serviced lots and cottages can be purchased individually or as a package. We currently have six uniqe model Cottages to choose from. You can also build your own Cottage subject to Whatcom County land use regulations and Wildwood Lakefront Cottages architectural design guidelines.

Can I have additional buildings other than my Cottage on my lot?

Covered side decks and storage sheds are allowed in addition to your Cottage.

Are there monthly and annual ownership costs?

Monthly association dues are $125.00 and annual property taxes can be estimated to be about 1% of the sale value. Individual electrical, propane, cable TV, or internet, is the responsibility of the Cottage owner.
